Do You Really Want Change?

Are you hungry for change in your life? What is it that you want to change? Your relationship status? Your job? Your financial status? Your relationship with your family? The way people see you? Your weight? What is it that you really want to change in your life? Have you tried to change an aspect of your life, but ended up in disappointment and failure? What happened? Do you know what you did wrong? Sometimes in life we want change, but it may not be the right time for that change to happen in our life. Other times, change isn’t happening because we are not applying the correct attitude and effort to achieve that change. Let’s analyze the route to truly make things happen in our life.

How many times have we tried to lose weight? For many of us, a ton. We’ve tried all sorts of diets and fitness programs, and avoided certain foods, and even tried to diet with partners so that we can have some sort of a support system. But did we obtain the change we wanted in our physical figure? For few of us, we did. For the rest of us, we didn’t. What happened? Why didn’t we get the results we wanted? First, we must be aware of our desire to achieve weight loss. How strong is that desire? Is it weak? Is it strong? Is it strong until some delicious meal is served in front of us, or the thought of working out to much to bare? We must sincerely analyze for ourselves how strong our desire is to accomplish the reward of weight loss. You have to want it with all your heart, mind, and soul. Once we obtain the CONVICTION that weight loss is our ultimate goal no matter what the costs, then we can proceed to the next step. And believe me, that conviction will be tested.

The next step to achieving change in our life is a CONSISTENT EFFORT. Sure, a strong desire is essential to achieve change, but just wanting change to happen is definitely not enough for change to happen. You must apply a great amount of consistent effort to obtain results. Exerting a large amount of effort a couple of times isn’t going to do it. That’s like doing 40 sit ups in one session and expecting a solid six pack to appear. It’s not going to happen. You need to do 40 sit ups continuously over multiple sessions to start seeing some results. Yes, it’s going to hurt. Yes, it’s going to be uncomfortable. Yes, it’s going to be inconvenient. But that’s the price you must pay. No pain, no gain. No reward without great effort. sending out to every online ad you see for two days isn’t going to land you that job change you’ve been wanting. It takes two hundred emails to two hundred different ads over the course of three months of solid job hunting for you to see that change. If you land that job before then, congrats… the Universe took pity on you. For the rest of us, it’s going to take a lot of effort. Consistent effort. And consistent effort requires discipline and determination. You won’t be able to apply consistent effort if you aren’t determined to do so, and if you lack the discipline to stick it through.

The last step is SACRIFICE and HUMILITY. These are the two last secret ingredients to obtaining the change in your life that you so desire. Why sacrifice? You must be able to sacrifice how you have done things in the past to be able to pave the new road that is your future. You cannot go on continuing old habits and destructive patterns and expect change to happen. You can’t keep settling for any cute guy that you meet at a bar and expect a meaningful relationship to blossom. You can’t keep eating toxic and fatty fast foods and expect your love handles to disappear some day. You must sacrifice your attachment to the way you do things in order for you to embrace the new behaviors that will lead to the change you desire. And what does it take for this sacrifice to take place? Humility of course. Which means that big chunk of EGO and PRIDE you have weighing you down has got to go. No ifs and or buts about it. It is preventing you from achieving your soul’s desires. You need the humility to accept that there are some things you can’t control. You need the humility to accept that you are wrong about what you think is right for you. You need the humility to surrender to the fact that what you have been doing isn’t taking you to where you want to be. Let the Universe tell you where you need to be. Let the Universe guide you to where you should be. Be open and willing to embrace your true purpose in life. Let go of your old perspectives and how you see the world, and be prepared to see the world in a new light. Do you have the humility to let go of old attachments that are taking you nowhere? Are you prepared to sacrifice everything for the change you so desire? There can be no glory without sacrifice. No sacrifice without humility. And humility can only come through the absence of ego.

I hope this post helps you accomplish your dreams and fulfills the changes your soul desires. Until next time…
